I bought my laptop labor day of last year and It's served me well if I can look past a few minor nuances.
I've had a problem with FPS dips since I first got the laptop. My frames will randomly fluctuate causing slide show esque performance and than all of a sudden go back to normal a couple seconds later.
I also have a blue blotch about the size of a dime on the top left quadrant of my screen. It's very noticeable against dark backgrounds, it's almost like a huge chunk of dead pixels.
My headphone port is going out, I have to wiggle my headphones plug to get sound in both ears
Lastly, I get this random static almost artifact like thing that goes up and down my screen every so often.
There's alot of things there and I think almost all of it warrants an RMA but I was curious if there's anything I should know or if there's anything you guys would suggest when doing so.
I take very good care of my laptop, I always keep it clean, I always make sure to pack it up safely when traveling and it has just seemed to be falling apart by the minute and I'd like to RMA it before my year warranty is up.
If I were to return it to best buy do you think they would grant me an exchange even though I declined to purchase their extended warranty?

I have a broken Express card latch, never used, just broken one day. But I do not want to RMA for fear that Gateway will ruin the perfectly running 7805. BB would not do anything for me. -
BB will not exchange it, you will need to contact Gateway to send it in for repairs.
