My 7811 used to be fine...maybe one lockup every couple days, sometimes none for weeks at a time. Just lately it has begun locking up more, and the last couple days, even more! What would cause this inconsistency? I have used compressed air to remove dust...I don't THINK temperatures are any higher than before.

I can't recall any of these lockups being during something other than gaming. I have been through about 5 different video drivers, from the newest, to old ones, to the default gateway ones, to DOX ones. Considering it is during gaming, would this indicate video driver problems?

(And yes, I have been fully removing drivers before installing new ones, diver cleaner, etc...)

I know HDs run hot in this...but is it possible that my main HD always running around 60-65 has slowly F'ed it up? Could that explain the gradual worsening? Has anyone managed to lower their HD temps?

60-65 for a hard drive is a lil' smokey there. Was it like this from the beginning?

Sounds toasty for HD. I would not call mine cool. They are cheap Hitachi but 5400. The original drive ran cooler if I remember.
