I've been noticing that the audio stutters occasionally. It may happen watching DVDs with Media Center, videos with WMP, or during games. The computer visually stutters as well-- kinda like an watching an 8mm movie.

Is it my audio driver? Are there updates to the driver since my purchase date 9/1? There's some sort of program that Gateway offers to check if you're up to date, but it appears to not work on Vista 64.

    thanks,

    - Frank

Thanks for the replies. I think the Gateway site's audio driver is the same as what came with the computer. I'll have to double check the version numbers when I get back home. Is there a more updated one elsewhere? I couldn't find any at the Connexant site.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if the power supply is plugged in or not. Does this sound like it's something other than an audio driver problem?

i think it's a vista problem. mine does that when listening to music, and i remember other saying the same. i was going to look for a fix yesterday, but forgot until now, i'll reply if i find something.

EDIT: i read different things that cause it. thing like audio enhancements, wireless card, sata driver, audio driver. i reinstalled my Sata and audio driver off the driver recovery disc i made and i got through a whole song without any skip/stutter.
