For raid drivers intel site is better, for the most part gateways drivers are good.

Surprised how well most of the default gateway drivers were. Still going to spending the next week finding, downloading and installing the latest greatest.

if you look at the top of the forum page in the thread titled 'Ultimate Nvidia upgrade guide' there is a section in there (with links) to the latest and greatest drivers for the FX series laptops.

    Yes.
I'm sticking with the original Nvidia Graphic Driver - the one on the gateway website.

I don't get it, you want to use outdated video drivers, and you want to over-clock too? The newer video drivers have fixes and tweaks that give you better performance, while over-clocking is unnecessary, and can end up harming your lappy.

i would recommend an updated graphics driver, like flynnaz says, then you would not need to overclock. I notice a huge difference with updated drivers on games without overclocking.

Does the Gateway 7805U use the same drivers as the 7811? I do not see the 7805U on the Gateway site yet.
