For some reason the fans on my 7811 are stuck on high even when the computer is idle. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seem to recall someone on this forum talking about this before when the ports and exhaust vents are clogged with dust and the temps get too high. That triggers the fans to run all the time. Not sure if that is your problem but you may want to blow out the vents with pressurized air and see if that helps.

Happens to my P-7801u when I:

    1. Leave my computer on for a long time (like usually over a day)
    2. have not cleaned the front and side vents with pressurized air for a while (like a month).

    Same problem here,

I'm talking about the CPU fan only. I even bought a Zalman NC3000S cooler and nothing. The CPU temp is ~ 42 C.

The ports and exhaust vents are cleaned.
