I finally figured it out! The reason why my games are under performing is because my pci bus port is not running at 2.0 and is always at 1.1

Now I have searched up and down all over the web to figure out a solution to this and i cant find any.....this must be a huge rarity....

Please someone help me fix this so i can utilize my entire 7811's performance!

Please tell me how you figured this out? I've honestly never even heard of this being an issue before so if you've discovered a new problem i would love to hear about it.

ok well my 7811 is under performing...low fps and stuttering i have been dealing with for the longest time. I have researched and tried everything too get it to run like it should but nothing has worked. then i looked at my gpu z log and it says that my pci bus is 1.1 instead of 2.0 and i was like....hmm i bet thats bad. Yet even googleing it i couldnt find anything close to what i was looking for.

So yeah i have no idea how to even begin to trouble shoot this

Have you tried running a few different things to see if it changes?

    Game
    3dmark
    Furmark
    Office Program
Turn Off Areo while sitting at desktop
uninstall GPU driver and just use the built in graphics

If it changes then the bus might be dynamic which is good and normal i would say
If it changes but even furmark maxes out at 1.1 then you might be on to something.

and how would i know if it was at 1.1 on future mark

and how would i test if it was dynamic

you cant run 3dmark06 windowed? If not just skip it and just use furmark it will do the same thing.

Just keep GPUZ open and off to the side so that you can see its values

im pretty sure thats normal if not the actual speed then what gpu z reports...because ive had same results but havent even worried bout that and neither should you(it would be kinda like me saying my pirated camera movie is looking blurry because of me using composite cables instead of hdmi)...i can even read off what you are seeing..

"the graphics card reports that it supports PCI-Express x16 v2.0

It is currently running at PCI-Express x1 v1,1"

Yes my 9800m gts does support pci express x16 v2.0 but gpuz doesnt accurately display it because of powermizer and notebook power settings.

My stuttering doesnt happen from over heating becuase i have it right when i start a game it never changes.

How would i fix the throttling?

But does the northbridge support PCI2.0?

Read the last few pages of the thread I gave a link to.

See the thing is hw monitor reports that my tzs0 never goes over 65 during gaming. So is it reading wrong or is my stuttering caused by something else?

Could you modify my cpu throttling trip point?

Not sure, you will just have to test it out.

Sure, but first try the undervolting guide because it should also help:

I can only undervolt to v.9000 and it doesnt help my stutter at all it actually makes it worse and my fps goes down too. Like I have said before I feel like something is being held back cpu or gpu wise.

    heres what i mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVdcbUkXJdk

On another note my bios even after flashing to 9c.17.00 still hangs when booting for about 10 secs

Idk if this could be related or not

well after doing everything the forum thread i had no improvements and the stuttering stayed the same. I tried underclocking and locking the cpu from throttling.

One thing i did notice is when i ran the orthos rmclock showed cpu throttling even though i locked it in rm clock as you can see...

    Here are my specs:
