Hey guys,
Randomly my laptop will either lockup or go into bluescreen. I think I may have solved the lock up problem, I saw in someones sig that it had something to do with a power management option. I just changed it a few days ago, no lockups so far, and when I thought about it, I realized the last few times it locked up I was using a power profile with that particular setting.
So I thought I was home free, safe and sound. But just now my laptop BSOD, I didnt read the message, but I think its just the typical one that says something about "Power Driver State Failure". I hope its just a driver problem, but I'm pretty sure I have all the drivers from gateway.
Can someone with a 7811 post all their hardware info from everrest (just go to the report wizard, and make a hardware report I guess) and ? I have a preproduction model and I'm thinking maybe someone of its hardware is different. (it has bluetooth and a fingerprint reader)

Still haven't solved these issues. I learned that the power setting didn't help, and my computer still locks up, as well as blue screen. -
Wow BT and fingerprint reader, how cool. Anyways, I just did the hardware report on Everest for you. Shall I send it via PM? Oh and try out these links: http://thevistaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=30212

My suggestion would be updating your video card and performing a system update on Vista. -
well I reupdated my bios just now (the first time I did it my screen went black at the end, and it didn't reboot automatically. I just assumed that was what was suppose to happen, but after checking everest I realized I didn't have it flashed correctly)
Sure PM me the report and thanks for the links.
