    7811: No Gateway Recovery Center

    Newly received refurb 7811FX. Included paper recommends creation of backup media with system software using Gateway Recovery Center in Programs list. Unfortunately in my case, there is no Recovery Center in my Programs list, looked everywhere. There is a Gateway Recovery Management folder on C drive (snapshot below).

    Is this the Recovery Center program and, if so, does anyone know which executable will start the recovery program?

    I assume the OS CD included with the computer will not restore the orig system software.

    Ya the recovery program should have been in your all programs bar in a folder called gateway (click VistaButton then all programs right above it) , also look to see if its still in programs installation in the control panel maybe it was uninstalled from who ever had the computer before hand.

    Tried that...no go. Was hoping it might be a download at Gateway site. No luck there either.

    The recovery program stores the orig software minus the OS right?
