7811, Vista64, Nvidia 185.2 drivers. Dragging a window across desktop leaves a "trail" of windows. Although the trail dissipates quickly its very annoying. Reinstalled nvidia 185.2 drivers, behavior remains.

    Suggestions?

Funny - I reformatted my laptop last night and had the same issue. Found out it's because Aero was turned off... check your theme and turn it on.

Video driver issue. Reload the original drivers.

    Put the mushrooms away...

    Not overheating...GPU stays within 39C-45C.

    Tried theme change...no effect.

Goodspeed...pls define "original drivers". I suspected drivers as well so reloaded the 185.2's. TIA.

Reload the AS SHIPPED Gateway drivers. The ORIGINAL ones that came with the 7811. They are on the "Drivers" DvD that you burned when you first booted up your laptop for the very first time. If you can't find them you should be able to BURN a "drivers" DvD from the Gateway recovery management software that came with yo laptop. You MUST be certain to remove ALL ALL ALL traces of any other driver that is on your system now. Either that or just "restore" your system. If you still can't find the AS SHIPPED drivers lmk. Keep us posted and good luck.

You may recall I wasn't able to make a recovery disk. Apparently the partition was damaged and there was no Gateway Recovery Program.

Would the drivers on the Gateway site be the 'as shipped' ones?
