    Trying to get speedfan fan portion to work - need motherboard ID? Anyone know?

    if you are trying to control the fan speed, its not going to work as the fan speed algorithm is hard coded into the bios.

    Yea, tried that also. Everest ID's the mobo as "unknown". Thx anyway.

    unfortunately intel's site is no help, they seem to have all the ID's for desktop boards, but no mobile boards

    I wouldn't use speedfan anyway... I know you're only using it to monitor and not control, but I wouldn't trust it ever since it caused visible palm rest burns on my old inspiron
