I'm trying to use CamStudio to record a webcam broadcast. The video records just fine, but I can't get it to record the audio from the the speakers except through a microphone.

On my desktop machine, ( I forget how I set it up, but I think I used the Line Out option) I can just record directly from what the sound card is putting out.

Is there any way to do the same on the 7811FX?

P.S. Has anyone figured out what the SPDIF on the 7811 is for? Again, on my desktop, the SPDIF is an optical port, I haven't been able to figure out how to use the SPDIF on this unit.

Hey Sentry... With the headphone out you can also use SPDIF optical out. But first you need an optical that it fits or converter. A cable with normal side is optical output as in any Stereo system, the other side must be like normalde 3.5mm analog headphone plug. I think you can find it in everywhere. Then you open playback devices and Set Default for SPDIF Output. After that you can easily see the red light is coming from the port...
