I noticed on my 7811 when the backround is black and I look slightly off to the left side of the screen, I see some white-grey (off black) spots extending from the bottom of the screen to the top on the right side of the screen.

The contrast in color is very faint, but it is apparent with a black backround.

As I move further to the left, I see the greyish cast appear over most of the screen.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Spots? Or do you mean its a gradient of light. In that case, a small amount is normal, though undesirable. I have a minor light bleed on my 7811 at the bottom of the screen on all black backgrounds. Its insignificant though.

Yes, a "gradient of light" but not only the little bit that extends across the bottom, but faint vertical lines of gradient light running up and down the screen.
