    7811FX finally up on Gateway site - at $1399 MSRP

    Guess Best Buy is sticking it again!

    "Suggested Price" is $1399, while BB has it at $1449 - shades of the 6831FX.

    When they started selling like hotcakes, they raised the price like $100.
    Or was that the 6860FX?

    My sarcasm detector is broken. Anyways, I plan on buying one from a Best Buy in Delaware so it will save ~$150 in taxes. The price should be $1399 then instead of the $1551 after taxes.

    Are you saying that they did this the last time-- sell above MSRP with the model before the 7811?

    Will the price return to MSRP once they clear out the old models? Does Gateway condone this (or know or care) now that they don't sell direct?

    You didn't read the.."shades of the 6831FX"

    When the 6831FX came out, it had a certain price, when they started selling like hotcakes, BB raised the price $150, then when the rush stopped, they lowered the price again.

    It says DDR3 800MHz in gateway website is that right?
