I can't seem to figure out what is causing it.

i've upgraded to the latest bios provided in this thread (although all the bioses did the same thing)

    i have 2 320gb's in raid 1, and using the 180.84 nvidia drivers, oc'd to 735/1035

clean install of vista twice, all updated drivers, tried adjusting the pci-e power saving feature to off always on all power states.
it happens sporatically, and i can verify its not from overheating, the unit is not even close to hot, the tz's are under 50, and the cpu is like 30 and gpu is like 40 tops.

this is while i'm connected to the net or not. just out of the blue, locks up. before raid and after.
any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try removing the battery, hold down power button for 10 seconds.. Then plug battery back in and power on. Or, run without battery inserted just to see if you have any issues. Then plug in battery and try again..

yeah, it never crashes when its plugged in with the ac adapter. ONLY when i'm running on battery power.

what does the 10 second thing do?

I saw in another thread in this section that someone else was experiencing this mystery lockup i'm not sure what to do next

Sounds like a driver issue then.. the video driver likely.
