    7811FX sits on Gateway screen too long

    and

    F2 does not access BIOS setup

    any ideas?

    Did this problem appear randomly or what changes did you make prior to this happening? Does it eventually get past the Gateway screen? Can you display the POST?

    Use F10 at boot the get to setup from there, probably need to load the setup defaults.

    F2 finally worked. It's running fine but that darn Gateway screen stays on for ever. This is a new development. I do have Wubi Ubuntu on but that shouldn't come into play after the Gateway screen, I would think.

    Disable quiet boot in BIOS to see POST

    I noticed my gateway splash screen stays up longer when I have a lot of devices (5-8) connected

    Just got around to turning off "quiet boot" and it did the trick. Thanks Global.
