    7811Fx HDMI 1.3 or 1.2

    I know that the gateway website says it's 1.2 but our box says 1.3??

    Which one's right and whats the difference?

    I believe 1.3 adds more bandwidth...

    Double the bandwidth, and ability to transport compressed audio DolbyTrueHD. It also says that 1.2 can go up to 1920x1200 while 1.3 can go all the way up to 2560x1600. So unless you're using a 30" monitor, I don't think it's a big deal.

    As to which one it is exactly, can't tell you, I don't have the 7811FX, and I don't have a 30-inch monitor to test it with :p

    sound like its a 1.2 then i think i only got up to 1920x1200 on my friends tv i figured it was my videocard and not the cable. interesting.
