Hi I have AOU screen it has 1 bright pixel. I heard the Lg are a step up.
I see the lg lp171wu1 A2 for a reasonable price. My question is will it be compatible with the inverter I have in there now?

I'm guessing by 1 bright pixel you mean 1 stuck pixel.

Have you tried using screenfix or the other methods to remove stuck pixels?

Why bother? I don't get why people are trying to upgrade the laptop for no reason. The laptop is a finished product. If you don't like it, then try to find a replacement with the LG screen. If you keep on trying to spend more money on this laptop, then you're missing the whole point of the Gateway P-78xx series. It's one of the best value laptops and throwing more money at it will not make it on par with $1600-$2000 laptops.

Don't change your opinion on your laptop just because some people are really nit picky. Remember... These forums have more complaints than praises because the minority percentage of Gateway P-78xx who have problems with the laptop will come online to find a fix or be vocal about the negatives.

Well to me $200 for a great quality screen is well worth it. I already paid close to $1400 Canadian for the laptop. It is quite a step up to any other one I could buy locally for under $2000. I just really would like to know if I get the Lg panel if it is as simple as plug and play from AOU that is in it now?
