    78xx notebooks support 12.5mm HDD 2.5" or just 9mm?

    New WD 2.5" HDD are shipping, 750GB and 1TB, only problem is that they are 12.5mm and not 9mm, so I was wondering if anyone knew if the 7811 bays support 12.5mm?

    9mm only. The only laptop I could find that would take 12mm is HP hdx18t in the first bay only.

    i would just wait for them to release a smaller sized version i mean they dont seriously think that its going to sell very well since most laptops have the smaller size. or if you need it now i guess you could buy an external esata drive and tape it to the bottom :D

    No 15mm, you needed the heatsink and they required too much power.
