    7908u fx quad core compability

    Just trying to make sure I have my info correct. The 7908u MB is quad core compatible right?

    It should be. Of course since it is not original equipment there is no garenty......................

    Ok. I've just gotten mixed info on that. The MB I got from ebay said it was, other places don't specifically state that it is compatible. I didn't want to waste my money on the q9100 or similar chip to find out it wouldn't work.

    Well I got a board and placed it into my P7805 so I now have a P79xx. The quad works fine. If you are looking to game though a x9100 is the better choice. If you run apps that truely are optimized for quad core multithreading then the q9200 is the better choice. The q9100 will not overclock and will be actually slower in most cases than the x9100 even at stock speeds................

    Tanware, I have a p7805u and I wanna upgrade the motherboard. Can you give me any advice on where to find a p79xx motherboard and if it comes with the gpu already?
