Hey, I bought a 1gb stick of OCZ ram, its ddr2-533mhz pc-4200. However when I removed one of the 256mb sticks and put it into my laptop and powered it on, nothing came up on the screen. So I replaced the 1gb stick with the 256mb and it worked. Someone suggested my ram that came with it was uncompatible with the ram I purchased, so I removed both 256mb sticks put the 1gb in and again it didn't work. Any ideas what could be wrong?

    Thanks.

you would probably need to fill both slots with identical sticks...hence 2 512mb instead of a single 1gb.
