Im out looking for a bigger a big screen with high-resolution, as a permanent replacement for my P-6860fx on my desk.

So far, Im very interested in the Samsung 305T, which has a max. res. of 2.560 x 1600... My question is, does anyone know if my GPU would be able to take full advantage of the resolution?

i think the hdmi port on the 6860 is 1.2 IRC . im pretty sure for 2560x1600 you will need a duallink dvi solution to use that resolution or atleast the gateway and dell monitors require that to be able to take advantage of it but not to sure about the samsung model.

Ya its going to require a dual dvi solution to run it . without that and just using a hdmi to dvi converter you could only run it with a single connection at 1280x800 which is exactly half . So i would suggest looking for say 27" that runs at 1920x1200 .

Yup, if it really is just HDMI 1.2, it top out at 1920x1200... you need HDMI 1.3 to go all the way up to 2560x1600.

That's too bad, I thought our HDMI out's would have been 1.3... I have a 1.3 cable, hehe.
