What are considered the normal temps on the 9800M GTS for my laptop? I would like what people are getting for both idle and full extended load.

I would say, 35-40*C Idle. With no Modding

    67-80*C Load. No Modding.

I have an 8800M GTS, which is basically the same thing. 43*C Idle right now.

I was mostly curious because I was playing Borderlands and I saw some really high temps. I figured it out today though and it wasn't an actual laptop issue but rather my fault.

When I was playing borderlands I was surprised to see it at 95C peak despite there being a cooling pad in place. Turns out that the cooling pad was actually causing my issue as I played the same game for several hours and peaked at no more than 80C. Go figure.

    Running 195.39 Beta drivers.

    What cooler were you using?

It is not that uncommon to find a cooler that INCREASES temperatures. My girlfriend was given a cheap laptop cooler as a gift by a family friend, she had been using it ever since she got it. I tested her laptop with/without the cheap cooler and found that the laptop temperatures were lower WITHOUT the cooler.

The Zalman NC2000 under my 7801 lowers temps quite a bit, if I turn it off the temps climb quickly.

Hi there, I'm using 7805uFX without any modding. Driver version: 195.39beta
    Monitor using nVidia System Monitor

GPU run at default setting(Or worse, I don't know :D, since according to nVidia System Monitor, my GPU is running at 400/300/800 - Core/Mem/Shader)
    Idle: 45-47*C
FullLoad (i think^^, Crysis warhead Gamer setting @ 1280x900 Windowed No AA, after 1 hour playing): 69-72*C. uhm, my maximum temperature is 72*C :D.

Wow, it's really weird comparing with Lykhan's temps

Guys, those are extremely low temperatures comparing to my HD4650 (which gets to 90ºC). What are the room temperature out there? Because here is 30-33ºC =(
