    9800gts faster than 9600gt?

    Does anyone know if Gateway's 9800gts video card (in the new FX notebook) is faster than the 9600gt video card that HP is using (in the DV7T)?

    Any links to benchmarks or personal experience would be great. Thanks.

    The 9800 is in an entirely different class of video cards compared to the 9600. Yes it will outperform it, by a large margin.

    9600M GT is mid-range with 128-bit mem interface

    9800M GTS/GT/GTX is high-end with 256-bit mem interface

    There will be a huge performance difference between a mid-range and a high-end.
