I'll keep this questions simple.
- I want to add an extra harddrive for storage space. I've heard that we are able to use this extrenal harddrive in our laptops. Is this true? How hard is it to remove and install?
- I'm am normally very good with computers but I am always scared to install a CPU, I have a friend that does this for a living (actually he runs his own business). He would assist me in replacing the CPU. I would be getting the T9300. How hard is it to replace?
- Lets say something goes wrong long down the road, non-CPU related. And I wanted to send it in under warranty to get fixed. Would I be able to put the original CPU back in so Gateway would not notice?

1.I am not sure if we can use the Hard drive in our laptops but I am certain that we can use it via the USB or Firewire connector if applicable for this hard drive.
2.The CPU is very simple to install there are 4 screws for the heatsink and 1 screw to loosen the CPU (it took me 10 minutes to install and I was back on my system.)
3. I have read on the forums that if you put the stock CPU back in and send it in for repair that they will fix it provided you don't damage any of the internal components/motherboard while installing the processor. This is just what I have read on the forums so you may want to research this question further. I was under the impression that the warranty is voided once you remove the CPU and start replacing the original stock parts that came with the unit. -
erformance ratio isn't all that great. All I do is game and school work on my lappy, nothing that I really need a beefy CPU for. Unless I'm going to need it for Starcraft2, when that comes out. I know they will probably have ALOT of unites on the map, so this might be where I want to get one. And the price should be cheaper by then.

One more question...
I just bought a 320gb HDD from newegg. Do I need to buy a sata cable or anything extra to be able to hook it up? -
If your putting it in your lappy no. just slap that puppy in.

when installing the cpu...make sure not to roll off the thermal pad on the northbridge. i did....and now i'm waiting on some thermal pads to test out from china. but besides my carelessness the cpu upgrade was fairly easy.
