Hi, been research for the past couple hours but not really getting anywhere.

First off I'm trying to update my graphics card drives (Geforce 8800M) from 6.00.6001 to the 179.48 which is what the NVidia site said I needed after scanning. I've done everything that was said on the list at the top thread but when I go to run the set up it says that there are no drivers compatible with my system. Any advice on what I'm doing wrong and/or advice on newer/better drivers?

I have heard/read that you can upgrade the CPU and graphics card in this laptop and I'm interested in upgrading to a T9300 but when I go to Newegg.com (the place where everyone seems to suggest) it says it is not available. Does anyone know another place where I might be able to find this CPU?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a new Graphics Card? I'm not really convinced I'd want to change out the cards, there are a few games that I know have better graphics than what I am currently running but they still look good. Most notably is the game City of Heroes; they've upgraded the graphics and I can't seem to run them at full speed to take advantage of them.

This is probably a dumb question, but I'm not real familiar with putting computers together and such, but would a CPU affect the graphics in a game or just the speed? My guess is that they work together, more speed allows me to turn up the graphics card higher.

Thank you for any help and sorry for posting so many at once, from all the places I've looked at this site seems to be the most helpful so thought I'd go ahead and ask all my questions at once.

Go to http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ and try the 186.81 drivers. Don't forget to use the modded inf file.

If you want to look for a cpu ebay is the way to go. Just make sure the seller has a good rating.

The graphics card is solderd into the mobo so you can't purchase a new one.

A new cpu will make most games run smoother especially if the game is cpu intensive. It will not make your games "look better" but if you were being held back by the cpu you might be able to turn up some of the settings.
