Hey guys I was benching my new toy with Furmark and noticed TZS0 had hit a max of 98 C while TZS1 was running 55C. I didnt think I had it on that long and graphics card hit 83C. Was just wondering about that high temp. I was running stability test mode at 1600x1200 2X MSAA. Just thought this was strange and as my 14 day return window is now down to 7 days, wasnt sure if this should be a concern or not?

I am currently on my 5th laptop. All of them hit 98c and stay there under load testing.
I find this strange as if you cover up the vents for a few seconds you will see the GPU temps go up higher, but this temp maxes out at 98c.
I think there is a problem with the sensor and it is not truly showing the correct temp. -
im pretty sure they go above 98 mine gets hot enough to heat up milk, wonder if it will amke it boil?

ACPI TZS0 is annoying.. and it will actually downclock your CPU if it gets too warm. It will *never* pass 98c.. I don't think the sensor is calibrated correctly.. Actually, the ACPI itself has issues. Anyhow, it *will* downclock your CPU if it gets, and stays too hot. You'll be playing Crysis..and notice your FPS go to FPM until it cools off enough to run back at full speed. I resolved my issues by undervolting via RMClock. But, I also use the x9100 and from what I understand, the stock P8400 loses some umph when running RMClock.. there was a thread floating around here about it..check it out if ya run across it.
PS; FPM = frames per minute..in case you were curious.
