I was wondering if anyone has added Bluetooth internally to this model. If so was it a separate board that goes next to the wireless board or is it a different wireless card that has Bluetooth included on it?

Edit 1: Sorry for the thread, just found a thread from 12/2009 that is on this subject. Don't know how the delete this thread...

Edit 2: This is the thread http://forum.notebookreview.com/gat...luetooth-p7805u.html?highlight=Bluetooth+7805

I agree with you, flynnaz... I'm going to think for awhile to see if I want to tear apart this laptop... found a whole internal kit for about $14.00... That dongle sounds good... Thanks...

I can't imagine that that cheap usb stick could be as good as the more expensive and bigger internal bluetooth.

Well it is, plug and play. I was on the original thread on this, it is not as easy as putting in a card. The dongle works great for the very few times you'll need it.

i installed a bluetooth dongle into my 7805u and i currently use it very often with my ps3 controller to play pc games and emulators. installing the dongle isnt very hard. heck you could install it without having to take the whole laptop apart since the port is in the area the wifi switch is at. although in my case since you can only pry apart the casing a little bit and my fingers are on the larger side i couldnt do it so i had to take the computer apart although it has been done by a few just using the "pry" method.

the internal bluetooth in my opinion would be the way to go.

I'm confused as to what people are using the word dongle to mean, which is actually a hardware key.

A Dongle would be a USB device that plugs in outside your laptop, ryokowashu put a bluetooth card along with some other hardware inside his laptop, either way works, his is cleaner but you would have to open up your laptop.
