I just recently bought P7805u Gateway FX laptop. And I was updating video bios, and accedently unplug the power cord. Now when I turn on the laptop, All I get is a black screen, and 3 sound beeps. I have tried to recover with blind reflash, but it wont boot into my flash USB drive. I been told from gateway that its corrupted bios. And they will fix it for $199, but they might not fix it, not gerunteed. Is there any other way I can fix it? Has anyone had to deal with this issue? Thanks, any help will help!

Did you have the battery out? Were you also updating the general mobo bios or just the video bios? I wasnt aware you could update just the video bios unless you used nhibitor or something

Yes, I was using nibitor. And I had the battery out. Should I just pay gateway to fix it? Iam just 90% sure that they won't fix it. Gateway told me its the mobo bios problem. But its realy video bios that got corrupted...

This should be more helpful and worth trying than sending it in. Make sure you have enough time.
