I recently purchased "All Points Bulletin", a game by Realtime Worlds. Playing it on my stock fx-7811 running vista64. There is very little customization to the graphic settings from the in game gui. Resolution, Vsync, and a generic min-max slider. I'm currently running the game in lowest settings, and tweaked an .ini file for minimum settings. The game looks terrible but it is still almost unplayable. My screen stutters around constantly, freezing up for a second or two sometimes. I have read threads on this game from the APB forums, and tweaked my settings accordingly. When running the game, it uses around 1.5gigs of ram, and almost all of my CPU.

My PC almost meets the reccomended specs, just a little shy on the cpu. (2.26 but its calling for a 2.4). Running the most current video drivers, 258.49 from laptop video 2 go. Using stock bios also, don't know if updating would help.

Anyone have any ideas of what I could do to tweak my system a little, maybe even OC my proc to the 2.4 it requires? I'm at a loss here, don't want to replace my PC just yet, its only a year and a half old. Thanks for any replies :)

What video driver are you using? That is most likely the root cause. You should also try a benchmarking program or other games to see how they run.

Overclocking your CPU to 2.4GHz wouldn't make a drastic difference, however it is possible but you have to turn off Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology (EIST), usually done in the BIOS, however it isn't in 9C.20 but I know at least one person who has done it.

I'm using the latest drivers from laptop video 2 go, just updated yesterday. I will try the other things you said, and get back to you, thank you.

Same here, I can only play this game on miminum, with around 20-40 fps.
I think its a problem with the game itself (ty optimization)
