Headphones no longer work. Out of no where.

Just rebooted- no headphones. Factory speakers do everything. I can't get the headphones to work.

    No. They are enabled
Stupid crap like this just pisses me off. Nothing has changed. They just do not work. If I go in control panel, I can get test samples to play through them. Other than that, they do not work. There has to be a setting so that when you plug in the headphones, the main speakers shut off. Just like it always did before. Now, the headphones do not work at all(unless you test them). Stupid crap.

Ok well then next on the list is maybe your drive got corrupted. Have you tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it?

Another thing, check your headphones. Maybe they somehow got damaged

actually this has been discussed quite a bit on these forums, try a little search before jumping to profanities.

    Hughthehand,

Go to the Sound, Playback Devices right click Headphones and choose Set as Default Device. Reboot if needed.
