    Asus G50Vt-X1

I currently have a 7811fx. This would seem on the surface to be a considerable downgrade but here are my reasons for giving it some thought:

1.) 1920x1200 might be a tad high for me.
2.) The 15" will be a bit more mobile.
3.) The lower resolution might play some games even smoother.
4.) Call of Duty series on my 7811fx do not run properly for some reason!

    Have I gone mad?

Lower resolution? How can your 7811fx have a higher resolution screen than WUXGA? -.-''

I think I understand the resolution aspect; lower res on the Asus = smoother game play. However, unless mobility is the *primary* factor, why not consider the 7805u? It's $100 more than the Asus *but* is likely to go on sale sometime in the future so the price would be the same as that of the Asus ($1049), and the newer batches seem to have 1440x900 screens.

I was also looking between the two. When i decided the FX was better for me, they were both 1049. Now i guess the 7805U is 100 more. The screen sealed the deal for me. But now im also reading that some of them are coming equipped with 1440x900 screens. Overall im happy with my gateway. Honestly i dont think you can make a bad decision between the two.
