Just wondering, what does everyone think of this machine?
    Anyone have it?

I can get it for 949 this weekend at Best Buy-they will match the local Staples price. My reason for buying it there is I have credit.
It seemed responsive at the store..any thoughts?

I am honestly not too concerned about portablity per se. I am not going to be lugging it around every day. Most of the time it will be on my desk, but I want the option of taking it with me whereever I go. I want a desktop replacement, something with a little muscle.
After being on an 3200 +Athlon XP with 1 GB ram and 2 120 GB hard drives for the last two years waiting is not something I want to do.

The Pentium M or AMD Turion are powerfull CPUs. The Pentium 4 is the last CPU I personally would choose. Perhaps something like the HP zv6000 would be a better option. I would recommend buying ti at HPShopping.com not Best Buy. You can customize it the way you like. I would recommend the 5400RPM hard drive. Plus no tax at HP.
