Just bought a 6860FX, and I think my wife is right, the screen seems to be washed out. I tried different video drivers and it's the same on all of them.

It's mainly the blacks that seem to be washed out.

Is this typical? Is there a fix?

Your viewing angle can make quite a large difference to your black levels. Is it just the blacks or colours as well?

Seems like just the blacks, and ya the viewing angles get real funky... Digging through the forum it seems like a few people have noticed this.

Have you played around with your nvidia settings. Once i changed the contrast a bit and started using digital vibrance it seemed to me that i got a new screen.

Ya, wow thanks. Digital vibrance did the trick... I guess my office lighting is funky. Thanks.
