I've got a LG L246WP-BN 24" WUXGA display I have been using over VGA up until I received my 6860. However I'm having an awful time getting it to work properly over HDMI. I'm just wondering if anyone else is successfully using a external monitor via HDMI->HDMI. My HDTV works fine over hooked up to my laptop, but this monitor is a different story.

Basically if others are doing HDMI->HDMI (not HDMI->DVI) running a normal monitor resolution (1920x1200, 1680x1050, etc; not 1080i/p) without issues, I might be looking for another monitor.

I hooked it up to my wife's 37" LCD HDTV with HDMI, just cuzz. No problems. I don't remember the resolution. Just plug&played. I used the TV as the only display (not 2 monitors).

I've also hooked it up to 24" Samsung at work with HDMI and used mirrored monitors, so it was probably 1440x900 (guessing). Again, no problem.

I use my 32inch LCD sometimes. 1080i looks great in games and doesnt tax the GPU as much. This is using HDMI by the way.

1080i works on it but looks like crap compared to 1920x1200, which it won't display correctly. The whole screen is shifted to the left and up slightly @ 1920x1200. So basically I can't see a good chunk of the left side and I've got black bars on the right and bottom of the screen. I think I've hit every combination of monitor options but its a no go so far. However, VGA works fine, but don't like the degraded quality due to analog signal.

I haven't been usind HDMI, just vga for 1080P output to the 42" for gaming. I'm interested in maybe using HDMI but that means picking up another cable. The VGA cable I use is connecting the 360 and TV via a KVM switch.
