    Hi, I did a clean install on my Gateway FX and now my hotkeys above my keyboard isn't working. Any way I can dedicate it to my own programs?

    Thanks
    Shifty

    Change following path to your desired program.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MobilePC\HotStartButtons\1]
    "ApplicationPath"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Windows Media Player\\wmplayer.exe\""
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MobilePC\HotStartButtons\2]
    "ApplicationPath"="\"C:\\Program Files\\Windows Media Player\\wmplayer.exe\""
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MobilePC\HotStartButtons\3]
    "ApplicationPath"="\"C:\\Program Files\\CyberLink\\PowerDVD\\PowerDVD.exe\""

    If you made the back-up driver/app disk, its called "Hotstart button enabler for Vista" You may find it in the old system file if you kept it.

    I choose not to enable it to keep processes down. I'm back up to 44 with all the crap I keep throwing on!

    Peteryorkuca looks as he is on to something better.
