    Hi,

    As a lot of you here, I have (nice move ...) formatted and deleted the disk and drivers partition on my MX6420... :eek:
    After reinstalling I was unable to use anySOUND driver, from gateway.

    An user from the forum, thanks again, send the conexant driver for the MX6450 and they work. :) :D

    So if you want, PM me and I can send you those. It's a small file, andI think they should work for 6420 6450 and other (all ?) mx6000 series.

    Ho, by the way, just so you know gateway ask me 20$ for the CD drivers...

    hi i fixed the problem by using a device identifier turns out i had to use the intel AC'97 driver works great

    I fixed the problem! Gateway listed the wrong drivers. The right one is listed on a different laptop!!
