The backlight on my p-6831fx doesn't work. I replaced the monitor, inverter board (twice), and the video cable. I can't think of anything else that would keep the backlight from working. Any ideas?
On a possibly related note, if I have any video drivers installed Windows won't boot. Any help would be appreciated.

It doesn't sound too good if when you put in the video drivers you get no video. Does the backlight work while in BIOS?

Nope, the backlight never works anymore. It was an intermittent problem at first, but now it's always off. Anyone know where the CMOS battery is in a 6831fx? None of the disassembly guides I've seen have mentioned it.
