    Battery Life - How many hours are you getting.

    I have the P6831 I'm getting 1hr (Gaming) 2.5hrs (not Gaming) in Windows 7. Vista I was getting around 30min (Gaming) 1.5 (not Gaming).
    Some people are gettting 3-5hrs Not Gaming and its making me wonder if my battery is dying.

    I'm just curious what people are getting with their Gateways.

    I usually get about 2.5-3 hours while online, without switching off the High Performance profile. Don't know the time when gaming because i usually have it plugged in. oh, and i'm on Vista x64.

    Just over 2.5 hours on high performance with everything turned on.

    I dont game on battery though.

    Surfing the web etc... I get between 2-3hrs depending on how many videos I watch during that time because they seem to drain the battery the most. I have never gamed on battery but considering how long it lasts at almost idle I would assume an hour or less.

    . one year old (almost) P-7811FX Vista 64 bits

    . Can watch a 3hrs DVD with no issue

    . Gaming fluctuates between 2-2:30

    I get2.5-3 hours internet (when properly cooled) but i realised that when the system is hot, even if its just due to external temp, the time goes to 1.75-2.

    Gamin, tried it on battery and got 1.5 and this is in Win7.
