I was talking with a friend of mine the other day and he said his laptop will not hold a charge for longer than a half an hour. He's only had his laptop a year. So I was wondering what tips there are for extending the life of a battery.

Also I just bought my T-6836 6 weeks ago but for some reason the fan stays on a high pretty much all the time and both processors are at over 60% most of the time. All I have running is utorent. Is there anything I can do to fix this and is there a program to monitor cpu temperature and fan speed and that kind of stuff. Thank you.

If your cpu is showing high load which it shouldn't do when you're just idling you need to find the service that's causing the load and figure out how to keep it from running.
