OK, so I am looking to get an extended battery for my Gateway NV53.

I have found one but I'm not sure if it will work

The stock battery specs are as follows:
    AS10D31
    4400mAh
    10.8V

The battery I want to replace it with is
    AS10G3E
    9000mAh
    11.1V

Will this fry my computer or is it possible?

I am not sure what chemistry they use for 10.8. Usually LiIon etc is 3.7 per cell but the stock battery seems to be 3.6 per cell. Your charging mechanism may not like the battery....................

Stock charger is 19V 65W output.

I think that would do it, if not I could get the 90Watt one.

It won't hurt the computer though?

I would think yes but me, myself and I would check with Gateway on the battery compatibility. That should be fun so maybe not.

Your replacement battery should have the full Li-Io protection built in. so you would have to take your vendors word for that and also if THEY guarantee compatibility?
