i was playing some COD4 earlier and right before the end of the match/last kill my screen went black and the red battery light was flashing in front. everything was on except the LCD. i unplugged the ac adapter and took the battery out and let it sit thinking it overheated. when i tried with the battery it wouldn't turn on. so right now i have the battery out and am going to see if it can charge it at all, tho it should be full.

has anyone else had problems like this? 6860FX by the way.

EDIT: just put the battery in and it had the blue/fully charged light on at first, now it's charging and it's only at 8%.

Sounds like you were running on battery and didn't know it, maybe thought you were plugged in but the cable was loose somewhere. Then your battery got too low and you know the rest. If that's not the case then you probably will want to get a new battery. You might want to get a new battery either way since discharging the battery too low will cause permanent damage to it.

i'm assuming that the ac adapter came out a little cause it has been fine and that's happend a couple of times since then. but i thought the powermizer or whatever would have kicked in and made the game run slower.
