Hello all. I have a P-7805u with a stock CPU but I increased the Ram to 8 gigs and added a 2nd HD and a Blu Ray Player. I have the 1400 x900 screen which wors as great as my laptop. I have begun using some intense programs, Maya, Cinema 4d and Adobe products. Although the speed is acceptable, how much of a difference, if any, would I see if I upgraded the CPU? And if I decide to, which processor, x9100 or T9900? I do game some but as I've said I have had no problems so far and only notice a slow down when I rip a Blu ray :) Any suggestions?

In my opinion, when I go to change my processor I will pick the T9900 for the low power consumption. I don't need any extra heat from this beast.

I upgraded to a T9550, undervolted and unlocked the EIST (So now its 2.8Ghz) and the performance increase was noticable! On top of that the laptop actually runs much cooler!? Idle temp for CPU is now 28 - 30 oC while GPU dropped by about 5 deg as well to about 48 avg. I have no idea how to explain drops in temp but all in all was a great upgrade!.

    Hope that helps,
    Demon
