    Hey guys,

I first want to say thanks to the community, the advice offered here not only helped me tremendously with the purchasing, but also the finishing drivers for my new laptop. I just bought a Fx-p7805u but unfortunately its rather large and it doesnt fit into any of the laptop bags that have been lying around my apartment.

Question for those that have found bags that fit this laptop--Which is the best bag to use? I am a student and would like something I can carry around school. Thanks in advance!

Best bag?????? Depends on what you want, do you want a shoulder bag, hand bad, or a bag with wheels.

Any bag that is rated for a 17inch laptop should be fine. Pick the one you like.

My bag was 109.95. I have a laptop because I travel alot, we go through airport security two or three times a week. I pack my laptop between hotelroom and client sites 5 days a week. I take my laptop where ever I go. A good bag is required protection.

My laptop bag is almost 4 years old and has out lasted two other laptops. Best 159.00 I have spent :D

Yeah same here. The Booq is the best bag I've ever purchased. Top top quality and you can find it for a little cheaper if you shop around.

Style of bag you want as was asked would help, I use the Targus XL attache myself, more than adequate room for the laptop and all accessories etc. Students might want a backpack or messenger though with more room for books etc.

I had a Targus Citygear Miami for a few years for my 17" Dell a long time ago like Maverick posted. After that, I upgrade to a Booq BOA XL Backpack (older model). It has 5 year warranty and is an awesome backpack. I barely fits the P-7805u because of the battery sticking out.

I'm looking to upgrade to a rolling bag now because of travelling, but they are too bulky... I was looking at the Kensington Contour Roller though.

But the Booq is great for now. The Targus is nice and slim too, but only shoulder strap so it puts strain on one shoulder.

2nd on this bag, its a bit hard finding a backpack for the gateway p series because of the battery.
my gf got me this bag (because she also got me the lappy =D) it fits the laptop and my ps3 <--that should tell you the size...

now to the not so great part: its a little skimpy on the padding, i added a little more on the bottom of the laptop compartment and now its perfect ^^

I bought from Frys, the Microsoft Pelican. It can hold my P-7805u and my T61 Lenovo at the same time. It's a backpack, overshoulder configurable and is airport carryon friendly. Fits both stock and additional Kengsington Power adapter at the same time in the single power pack pouch in the front.

I have a Kensington Contour Roller bag for my P7805u. I bought the bag over three years ago with my first laptop. The handle started screwing up about 6 months back, I called their warranty department (It has a life time warranty). They shipped me a whole new bag free of change

    Cool :D

Ive got two backpacks ive had for a while that i use to carry mine in.

    http://www.uspatriotstore.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=8700

I have the black version, came with everything and more for my old job but was cool that it had a little spot that works perfectly for a Lappy. Even has the additional clips inside if need be.

    and

    http://oakley.com/catalog/products/icon-backpack-3-0

    in the sheet metal camo.

Both work great but i wish i still had my oneil bag with the laptop case/sleeve built with it. Now im just trying to find a decent sleeve to put it in.

I have this one from Belkin (in red/black). seems nice enough but I have no data on long term durability. the 7801 was a tight fit at first but it's stretched slightly so it's perfect now....hopefully it doesn't stretch more so it's less than perfect!

I purchased that bag originally, but the laptop was a VERY tight squeeze at the top of the bag. The zipper BARELY zipped, and felt like it might tear at any moment. It was indeed a very nice bag otherwise. Sadly, I had to return it.

I didn't want to start a thread for this, where can I get a sleeve for the 7805u? I'm looking for something cheap, just to protect the laptop so I can put it in my school bag and not worry about it bouncing around so much.

Ya very true, but mines not that tight.. it is a snug fit, but personally (this is just me) i like it, It doesn't move around and at least on mine, it doesn't seem to be so tight it would tear..

Hey guys thanks for all the advice. I think im going to have to go with the Targus City Gear because the price is right. Im going to go to Best Buy to check it out.
