My Gateway 6860 just fried after two years of perfect use... /tear

So... I'm looking for a nice replacement. I know I can get one of "these"....

    Newegg.com - Recertified: ASUS G71GX-RX05 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8700(2.53GHz) 17.1" Wide XGA+ 6GB Memory DDR2 800 500GB HDD 5400rpm Super Multi DVD RW NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M

Is there a better "bang for my buck" out there? This looks like a steal really. I really have enjoyed my Gateway, but I'm not sure if I can find as good a deal as the one I linked above.

    Thanks :)

The only problem is you may one day wish you had an i5. Upgrading from the P8700 would not gain you a huge performance boost and would cost a lot of money. However for gaming right now the P8700 is sufficient. Also you should see if it has 2 hard drive bays because you'll want to upgrade to an SSD because the 5400 drive can't be that fast.

Ya I researched that Asus as well as the one I listed, but just found way too many bad experiences with hardware failure for my liking. I went with the Toshiba 855 from Costco for 999 + free 2yr warranty :)
