How big is the update between the P-173X FX and the upcoming P-7811 FX for the 100 bucks extra that it'll cost?

Yeah you're right about the 1499, but I'm sure they haven't updated it. If you click on Tigerdirect and try buying it online, they offer 173X FX at a price of 1349-1399 Bucks.

im in canada, so im looking at the price on tigerdirect.ca because the 7811 wont be out in canada as far as i can tell.

If i decided to go with the 173, would it be able to run cod4, tf2, hl2, and all the newer games coming out resonably well?

My pc right now has the geforce 8800 gts with 320mb memory as a gfx card, and my processor is the Dualcore intel core2duo E6400, at 2133 MHz with a 2 MB cache (as far as i can tell from everest) and i have 2 gigs of ram. Is the 173 still an upgrade from my pc? (i know the 7811 is for sure)

completely different comparison there. who does that anyways?

but yes, the 173 should be able to run cod4, tf2, hl2...etc reasonably well.

and the ******* in me says "No More Desktop To Notebook Comparison Questions" it makes panda
