So i'm guessing the black screen I was talking about in my other thread was a precursor to death. My P6831FX after only 5 days of life died on me this afternoon. Complete blackscreen and all lights on the comp died, and there was no restarting. Went to BB and got my full refund due to them being out of stock. Im guessing I just got a lemon but this experience has definitely left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth towards Gateway. It sucks tho I really liked that computer, still thinking of ordering one direct.

Agree with Narsnail, don't let it sway your decision to get another one. It's like everything else in life, sooner or later you will find a bad apple in the basket, that doesn't mean you throw the rest of the apples out because of that one.
