    My budget is up to $1000 for the Blue Ray Slim Drive

    There was a link last week, I can't remember which one, I think snowsuffer posted it, it was $350.00ish and worked, as long as you had the software to run it.

    You would spend $1k to upgrade a $1200 notebook DVD? :eek: You might want to wait till the 2nd generation drives arrive or buy something like a PS3 to hold you over.

    Like my advice is good? I just spent $340 upgrading a processor :rolleyes:

    I hope your upgrading the screen as well :eek: If your willing to shell out that kind of cash for a BR drive make sure you get the best 1920x1200 screen money can buy!!!!
