Is it possible to fit the Panasonic UJ235 slot loader into the P-7811FX. Obvioulsy wouldn't be able to use the FX bezel on a slot loader. How bad do you think it would look. Any other models to consider.

Unless dead set on a slot loader, the face on the old dvd/cd will transfer over to other tray loaded bluray drives and make everything appear as stock. If I remember correctly there has been some on here that did go with slot loaders, might try a search or hopefully someone who used one will chime in on the "looks" question. They will phisically fit with no problem.

Have you seen this tray type on the Bay. US seller, burner, player, price does not seem to bad either.

I have thought about upgrading my old bluray player to a burner (it has an older CT10N player in it now).
