Bout to get NX860L

Bout to pull the trigger on this laptop....

2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2Gb 667Mhz RAM, 80GB 7200 RPM drive, 256MB 7900GS, 17" WSXGA....1619$ shipped according to Gateways site...

Thought Id post in the Gateway area and see if anyone protests due to any experiences they've had!

I just purchased one today! Delivery expected 3/7/7.

They tend to be conservative.

 

it appears they tend to be ridiculously slow... placed an order w/em the 13th... my order status still shows it to be 'processing'... delivery date is showing 7th of march as well. now Mr Slade of the Gateway sales force assures me that it will be MUCH earlier (yeah, sure) say feb 24th or so but as he said "china has shut down with their 3 week holiday so it's a industry wide issue right now"...

this does not bode well for my relationship with Gateway I fear

 

bought mine already well on the 13th ...he said it was bc of the chinese new year holidays..everything is pretty much shut down..

I've had mine almost one year. No real problems. The notebook has performed very well. I do recall that delivery was slow and way past promised date.

 

Mine gets really hot...
