Does anyone know where I can get the DVD burning software that was included with my gateway notebook when I purchased it. I have since formatted and installed XP Pro, I still have the recovery CD that I made when I first purchased the system. But from what I have gathered the recovery cd does not have the installation file for the program, it only has the program itself installed, and I don't believe copying that from one the backup to my system will work properly due to the registry entries and other misc files not being installed. I checked Gateway's site and the version they have on is from 2003 and I would hope that the version that originally came with my system is more recent than that.

Mine had the application to burn my entire recovery CD and separate option for the Applications/Drivers CD...which I assume would allow me to do a fresh Windows install and separately install my drivers and individual applications(at least some of them). I haven't burned the apps CD yet(just a recovery DVD), so I'm not sure what all was included on it. I have an 8510GZ...perhaps you need to find someone with the same model as yours that created the app/driver CD before formatting? The software on my machine was just Nero Express.
